MANILA, Philippines -- Barangay Ginebra continues to roll in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup.

The Gin Kings added to the woes of the freefalling Terrafirma Dyip, 111-103, in their clash Saturday at the Ynares Center in Montalban.

Ginebra has won three straight games, while Terrafirma has dropped its fifth straight.

Justin Brownlee finished with 28 points, nine rebounds, three assists and two steals, as he tallied a game-high +- of +31. RJ Abarrientos and Stephen Holt had R17 points each.

Terrafirma trailed by five, 53-58, in the third quarter after a triple by Jerrick Ahanmisi.

But Ginebra went berserk in the next few minutes, outscoring their opponents 29-11 to grab an 87-64 lead after a triple by Holt.

The lead grew to 27, 102-75, after an and-one play by Isaac Go.

The Dyip tried to storm back, but their comeback attempt came up short as the eight-point spread at the final buzzer was the nearest they got to.

“I thought we shot the ball really well in the first half, but when you shoot the ball that well you should have a bigger lead than what we did. And it was really because we weren't paying attention to the little details throughout the game,” Ginebra head coach Tim Cone said.

“And I thought in the third quarter we came out and really locked into the details and that keyed our defense, which in effect keyed our offense and allowed us to stretch out the lead. Got a little sloppy in the fourth quarter and I'm disappointed with that. We needed to hold that lead better and play a little better,” he added.

“[Terrafirma] didn't quit, you know, they could have easily just laid down and quit, but they didn't. They kept on battling and battling and, you know, they were down, what, 14 with about four minutes to go and got a little dicey there.”

Scottie Thompson added 10 markers, six dimes and four boards in the win.

Jerrick Ahanmisi paced the Dyip with 27 pooints. Shawn Umali added 15 markers while Mubashar Ali had 14.

Ginebra rose to a 5-2 win-loss record, while Terrafirma’s tailspin continued as they dropped to 3-5.
