MANILA, Philippines — From Antibes, France to Cairo, Egypt, brothers Carlos and Eldrew Yulo have left their marks for the world to see.

The elder Yulo delivered a strong performance in helping his team, OAJLP Gymnastique, reach the championship round of the French Men’s Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Antibes over the weekend.

Carlos’ bunch bested SMB Gymnastique, 44-29, in the semis to surge ahead.

For his part, the younger Yulo copped a floor exercise bronze in the FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Cup Series in the Egyptian capital also on Easter Sunday by scoring a 14.000.

Russians Daniel Marinov and Arsenii Dukhno took the gold and silver with a 14.233 and 14.133, respectively.

In the horizontal bar finals, the 18-year-old Eldrew’s score was a jump from his 13.900 performance in the qualification round, which was fifth among eight finalists.

For the Olympic gold medalist and world champion, he had a 14.833 in floor exercise and 14.700 in vault to help propel his French squad closer to seizing the crown. There, they will battle a dangerous ASVG Vallauris, the defending champion, on May 15.

Mewanwhile, following his elder sibling’s path, Eldrew had already left a big impression after claiming his breakthrough gold in the senior level via his victory in the apparatus in Antalya, Turkey a month ago.
