Junior Lady Altas back as champs

MANILA, Philippines — The Perpetual Help System DALTA Junior Lady Altas achieved their mission of bringing back the crown to Las Piñas.
The Girls Altas made sure there would be no winner-take-all match, sealing the NCAA Season 101 Volleyball Fiesta (Girls Division) championship in Game 2 with a straight-sets sweep of defending champion Arellano Baby Chiefs, 25-16, 25-21, 25-22, yesterday at the Arellano Gym.
Elizha Sildo led the Altalettes with a game-high 16 points (15 attacks, 1 block) as Perpetual closed out a perfect 9-0 Season 101 run.
Middle blocker Isabel Baser added 12 points (seven attacks, four blocks, one ace), Sherrie Rose Acosta chipped in 11 points with five excellent receptions and one dig, Joycelle Casil had eight attack points, while Ramiel Panganiban contributed six points (four attacks, one block, one ace).
Catherine Chu paced the Baby Chiefs with 29 points, four digs, and five receptions.
With the win, coach Sandy Rieta and Perpetual regained the title they last held in Season 99 (2024) – their second crown in three years after falling to Arellano in the Season 100 finals.
