Eldrew Yulo strikes floor exercise gold as senior in Turkiye
MANILA, Philippines -- Eldrew Yulo bagged his first gold medal in the senior level after ruling the men’s floor exercise in the 2026 World Cup Antalya in Turkiye.
Yulo, younger brother of double Olympic gold medalist Carlos, razzled and dazzled on the mat to grab the victory.
He finished with a score of 14.100 – with 8.8 coming from execution and 5.3 in difficulty.
Yulo finished ahead of Ireland’s Eamon Montgomery, who had a score of 13.833.
Spain’s Rayderley Zapata wound up third with 13.333, ahead of Hong Kong’s Ching Cheung with 13.300.
Yulo ended up fourth in the qualifications with a score of 13.666. He was unable to make it to the final of vault, parallel bars and horizontal bar.
Last week, he competed in the final of the floor exercise and horizontal bar in Baku but was unable to grab a medal.
