MANILA, Philippines -- The Terrafirma Dyip ushered in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup with a 30-point drubbing of the Titan Ultra Giant Risers, 112-82, Wednesday at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium in Manila. 

The Dyip, who won just one game in the Philippine Cup, started the import-laden conference with a bang. 

Ali Mubashar powered Terrafirma in the win with a double-double performance of 27 points and 11 rebounds. Jerrick Ahanmisi finished with 26 points, with 22 coming in the second half, to go with seven assists and five steals. 

Terrafirma led by just three, 26-23, at the end of the first quarter. 

But the squad exploded for 63 points in the middle quarters while keeping Titan to just 39 points to break the game wide open, 89-62, heading to the fourth. 

The lead grew to as much as 33 points, 99-66, with nine minutes remaining after a pair of free throws by Pao Hernandez. 

Titan tried to climb back from the deficit, but Terrrafirma had answer after answer. 

Joseph Eriobu produced a career-high 17 points and seven rebounds, while Hernandez had 15. Top rookie Geo Chiu had a solid debut with six markers and 14 boards, as well as a +- of +21. 

Earl Michael Gilmore and Joshua Munzon teamed up for Titan with 33 and 32 points, respectively. They were the only two Giant Risers in double digits.
