Junior Altas strike again

MANILA, Philippines — Reigning champion Perpetual Help Junior Altas needed a reverse sweep to defeat the Jose Rizal U Light Bombers, 19-25, 20-25, 25-20, 25-20, 15-7, for their fifth win in six games in the NCAA Season 101 boys volleyball tournament yesterday at the Arellano U Gym in Pasay.

Team captain Gabriel Macatuno and Daryl Torio combined for 45 points for the Junior Altas, with the former churning out a game-high 27 points with 25 on attacks plus one block and an ace, and the latter firing 18 points. John Lat and Cholo Bustamante also registered double-digit marks with 12 and 10.
