Miller leaves San Beda for UAAP

MANILA, Philippines — Fil-American Janti Miller isn’t returning to San Beda after all.

The prolific Fil-Am guard yesterday announced he is transferring to a UAAP team, whom he did not name, and won’t be returning to defend the Lions’ title in the next season.

“I love my teammates and my coaches, I’m glad I was able to bring you guys and the community a championship and leave a winner,” said Miller on his social media account.

“Unfortunately, with recent understanding of the timing of San Beda joining the UAAP, I have decided to transfer. I wouldn’t want to do it with anyone else but I refuse to play in the NCAA league,” he added.

It was painful news for the Lions.
