Nationals get year-round access at New Clark

NEW CLARK CITY, Tarlac – Filipino national athletes will now have year-round access to competition-grade training facilities in New Clark City following a partnership between the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) and the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC).
Under this agreement, the PSC and its accredited national sports associations can regularly utilize key facilities in New Clark City, including the Athletics Stadium, Aquatics Center, and Athletes’ Village.
This partnership aims to support the sustained preparation of athletes for major international competitions while maximizing the use of government-built sports infrastructure.
The arrangement allows national teams to train consistently using high-quality tracks, pools, and athlete housing, which reduces logistical costs and supports long-term, science-based training programs that align with international standards.
“This is truly a partnership made in heaven. BCDA develops and manages high-value land and infrastructure, while PSC ensures these facilities are maximized for the training and development of our national teams,” PSC chairman Patrick Gregorio said.
The agreement integrates New Clark City’s sports facilities into the national sports system, enabling continuous high-performance training operations and maximizing the value of government-built infrastructure.
It also strengthens New Clark City’s role as the country’s primary high-performance sports hub.
