Luisita Srs extend Fil-Am reign

BAGUIO , Philippines —  Luisita Golf and Country Club cruised to a 39-point win in the Seniors Fil Championship at Baguio Country Club, finishing the 75th Fil-Am Golf Invitational with a strong final-round 99 for a 454 total.

Abe Rosal and Benjie Sumulong scored 29 each, while Jeric Hechanova and Ferdie Barbosa added 21 and 20. Rosal took the individual title with 127 points, his second in Fil-Am Golf.

Srixon IMG Team 1 pulled off a surprise second-place finish after overtaking Riviera Golf on the final day.  A closing round of 95 powered Srixon to 415 points, four ahead of Riviera’s 411.

At Camp John Hay, Mamala Bay completed a huge comeback to win the Seniors Am Championship. Starting the final round two points behind Green Water, Mamala Bay posted a flight-best 118 for a 404 total. Chris Howard led with 33 points, followed by Bill Conners with 31.

Green Water, which led for three days, finished with 396 as Summit Point took third place with 386.

Sandigan 82 Team 1 rallied late to win Fil B, Stallion Golfers topped Am B, and Fil-Golfers of Hawaii Team 1 dominated Fil E and Am E.
