Que, Jahns, Miñoza lead Match Play charges

MANILA, Philippines — Angelo Que and Keanu Jahns dispatched their respective rivals to lead a high-power quarterfinals cast in the ICTSI The Country Club Match Play Invitational in Laguna yesterday.
The top-seeded Que found his rhythm late to oust Ryan Monsalve, 2&1, and secure a mouth-watering duel with fellow multi-titled campaigner Clyde Mondilla.
No. 2 seed Jahns, meanwhile, leaned on his power game and near-flawless iron play to oust Jhonnel Ababa, 4&3, earning him a blockbuster duel with five-time PGT Order of Merit champ Tony Lascuña – 3&2 winner over Russell Bautista.
Meanwhile, Martina Miñoza eliminated defending champion Florence Bisera, 2&1, in the quarterfinals of the women’s side.
Miñoza seized two of the first six holes and built a commanding four-up cushion en route to victory over Bisera, who turned back Mikha Fortuna, 2&1, to clinch the crown last year.
