NBA comes to Disney+ Philippines
MANILA, Philippines — The NBA and streaming platform Disney+ on Tuesday announced a multi-year partnership that enables Disney+ subscribers in the Philippines to watch games and other content on the world’s top basketball league.
In a news release, the two companies said subscribers can start watching on Thursday, November 20 (Manila time), the games between the Houston Rockets and Cleveland Cavaliers; and the New York Knicks against the Dallas Mavericks.
Under what the NBA and Disney+ call a “landmark deal”, Philippine subscribers can likewise enjoy watching the following on their devices:
- Select regular season and playoff games
- Marquee events like Christmas Day, NBA Draft, NBA All-Star Celebrity Game and select NBA Summer League games
- One NBA Conference Finals series live
- Other Conference Finals series and NBA Finals available to stream on delay
- ESPN’s award-winning documentaries
- Live broadcasts of NBA Countdown
Additionally, the Emmy Award-winning show Inside the NBA — hosted by the beloved quartet of Shaquille O’Neal, Ernie Johnson, Kenny Smith and Charles Barkley — will also be available for streaming.

For her part, Kelly Cooke, head of content partnerships and DTC of NBA Asia, echoed Puri’s sentiments.
“There has never been a better time to be an NBA fan in the Philippines,” said Cooke, Head of Content Partnerships and DTC, NBA Asia.
The partnership is said to mark an expansion of The Walt Disney Company and ESPN’s global relationship with the NBA.
In the Philippines, NBA games used to be available for streaming on the official League Pass, which is also offered via paid subscription.
