Tangerines, Lady Chiefs extend streaks

MANILA, Philippines —  Reigning champion Quezon Tangerines and runner-up Biñan Tatak Gel Arellano Lady Chiefs extended their streaks to stay within striking distance of leader Dasma Monarchs in the 2025 Maharlika Pilipinas Volleyball Association (MPVA) Wednesday at the Marikina Sports Center.

Quezon swept the Caloocan AM Spikers, 25-22, 25-13, 25-13, for its 10th straight win while Biñan made short work of the San Juan Lady Knights, 25-18, 25-11, 25-19, for a 6-3 record.

Kamile Tan led the way with 12 points while power siblings Shekaina and Shahanna Lleses chipped in eight points each for the Tangerines in the tourney founded by MPBL chairman Manny Pacquiao.
