Sarangani's Migs Pascual showcases sharpened shooting in MPBL

MANILA, Philippines — Known as a steady facilitator in just his first few games of his rookie season, Migs Pascual unraveled another solid facet of his game with an impressive double-double performance in Sarangani’s 103-89 triumph over Paranaque in the MPBL 2025 Season just recently at the Pasay Astrodome.
This time, Pascual displayed his shooting prowess, knocking in seven 3-pointers shots on his way to producing 21 markers and making him the hands-down choice as Best Player of the Game.
Pascual’s quick release from beyond the arc is drawing comparison from NBA star Klay Thompson, a four-time NBA champion and formerly one-half of Golden State's fabled "Splash Brothers" with fellow deadeye shooter Steph Curry.
A former member of the national youth team, Pascual made his presence felt early when he hit the first two 3-pointers of the game in Sarangani’s victory over Paranaque, then capped his sizzling performance by burying another triple before the end of the first half.
In the second half, Pascual continued his assault.
“When you’re getting the green light from your coaches, you’re going to make shots like that and Migs Pascual was able to take advantage,” said one of the commentators who worked on the panel.
At one stretch, Pascual was able to hit three straight three-point shots in the fourth period that gave Sarangani an 88-75 advantage and took the fight out of the Patriots.
On top of hitting seven shots from rainbow territory, Pascual capped his big game with a double-double showing by also producing 11 assists to go along with four rebounds.
“Since naglalaro pa rin kami sa play in, binibigay pa rin naming yung best namin,” said Pascual. “Nung unang pasok ko, andito sina Kuya Jeff (Viernes) and Kuya Kyt (Jimenez), pero siyempre nung nawala sila, kailangan naming mag-step up.”
Now, much will be expected on Pascual, who will be asked to score more to be added to his key role as a facilitator.
