Bisera stuns ICTSI field

MANILA, Philippines — Florence Bisera emerged as the unlikely champion in the ICTSI Negros Occidental Classic at the rain-lashed Marapara Golf and Country Club yesterday.

The Davaoeña was barely on the radar – trailing by six strokes after two rounds but shot a 67 (209) for a remarkable one-stroke win over Seo Yun Kim (72) and Princess Superal (74) for identical 210s.

“I didn’t expect to win because I was six shots behind after two rounds,” said Bisera.

Meanwhile, Rupert Zaragosa secured a one-shot lead over Keanu Jahns in a thrilling third round in the men’s competition.

Zaragosa leads at 10-under 200 after a 64. Jahns shot a 66 for a 201 total.
