The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — Metro Manila Turf Club, Inc. is rolling the red carpet for the third leg of the Prince and Kings Gold Cup on Sunday in Malvar, Batangas.

With a total purse of P17 million, the twin event promises world-class competition, high-stakes drama and renewed momentum for the Philippine horseracing industry.

Spotlight will be on the undefeated Morally (Mo Tow-Street Rally by Hard Spun), champion in first two legs of the three-year-old Prince Cup, and ridden by jockey MA Morales, as he attempts to close out the series.

Morally will face a strong field of imported horses at the new 1600-meter distance: Anytime Anywhere, Aussie Bound, Calculus, Candy and Wine, Gain, Rumored, and Tiz the Moon.

The Kings Gold Cup lineup, also at 1600 meters, will feature second-leg winner Varatti, first-leg winner Sherbet Fountain, comebacking Andiamo A Firenze, Perfect Delight, Counter Attack, Crusading Manila Bay, Dreaming Always and newcomer Romantic Story.
