Lady Knights take 3rd-place honors
MANILA, Philippines — Letran cruised to a swift 25-22, 25-15, 25-20 victory over University of Batangas for a third-place finish in the 2025 Shakey’s Super League (SSL) National Invitationals Batangas leg yesterday at the University of Batangas Millennium Gym.
Taking advantage of their height, firepower and experience, the Lady Knights overwhelmed the host squad to snap a two-game slide and salvage a podium finish in the tournament backed by Shakey’s Pizza Parlor, Peri-Peri Charcoal Chicken, Potato Corner and R and B Milk Tea.
Letran fought off a late rally by the Lady Brahmans for a sweet finish following its straight sets loss to Far Eastern University and a stinging five-set defeat to NCAA archrival College of Saint Benilde.
Verenicce Colendra hammered 17 kills for a game-high 21 points.
