Filipino booter signs with Madrid-based squad

The adventure continues for Rafael Garcia.
When we last heard from Rafael, he earned his spot at the prestigious LaLiga Academy in Spain, through a competitive tryout, where he trained under UEFA Pro-licensed coaches.
“I love football because it teaches me how to work hard, how to work as part of a team and, above all, about the passion of the game. It has a lot of values that I can transfer to my daily life. Football is a way of life. Everything you learn on the pitch you need off the pitch,” Garcia mentioned at that time.
Following his academy season, Rafael signed with Rayo Ciudad Alcobendas C.F. U-19, a competitive club under the Royal Football Federation of Madrid (RFFM), with the guidance and support of ADM Pro Sports.
Now, he has joined AD Unión Adarve, proudly becoming part of the Union Adarve family. The Madrid-based club, known for its competitive spirit and strong player development, competes in Spain’s Tercera Federación, providing Rafael with the perfect stage for his first senior year in Spanish football.

From his humble beginnings, playing locally in grassroots and youth football, he is now living his dreams in Europe.
“I’ve come a long way and there’s still more work ahead — but I’m ready to give it everything. From the Philippines to playing senior football in Spain, every step has been a blessing and joining Unión Adarve is another big step forward. Playing at this level will sharpen my game, and the experience and playing time here will be massive for my growth. Adjusting to a new speed and physicality will push me further. I’m grateful to everyone who’s believed in me and I know this is only the start of something greater,” said Garcia.
With hard work, discipline, and determination, Garcia’s football journey has really only just began.
