Makati Business Club golf tourney draws strong turnout

MANILA, Philippines — The Makati Business Club recently had their golf tournament at the Manila Golf and Country Club. This event was organized to help fund their Embassy Engagements, which includes their economic briefings, high-level meetings with visiting dignitaries, and networking receptions for business missions.
The MBC, established in 1981, has remained a steadfast advocate for principled leadership, good governance and inclusive growth. Born in a time of political and economic uncertainty, MBC took a courageous stand against crony capitalism and became an influential voice in the movement that helped restore democracy in 1986.
More than four decades later, MBC continues to uphold its legacy, serving as a trusted forum where business leaders work together for reforms that strengthen institutions, foster economic progress, and build a better future for all Filipinos.
Now on its second year, the tournament gathered over 70 participants from government, business and the diplomatic corps.
Ambassadors and officials of various Embassies were present: Australian Embassy, Embassy of Brunei Darussalam, Embassy of Cambodia, Royal Danish Embassy Manila, Embassy of Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Embassy of Malaysia, Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Embassy of Nigeria, Royal Norwegian Embassy, Embassy of Singapore, Embassy of Spain, Embassy of the United Arab Emirates, Embassy of the United States of America, and the Embassy of Vietnam.
The strong turnout reflected MBC’s commitment to fostering multilateral collaboration and serving as a forum for constructive ideas and meaningful action.
