Pacquiao, Celtics star Jaylen Brown hook up
MANILA, Philippines — From one champion to another.
Filipino boxing icon Manny Pacquiao rubbed elbows with NBA champion Jaylen Brown earlier this week, as the Boston Celtic visited the country.
Brown posted some photos on his Instagram story as he met the only eight-division world boxing champion.
The two exchanged autographed apparel and also took time to play chess.
Pacquiao received autographed shoes, while Brown took home signed boxing gloves.
Brown visited the country as part of his Asian tour.
For his part, the 46-year-old Pacquiao returned to the boxing ring last month and settled for a controversial majority draw against 30-year-old Mario Barrios.
Brown, on the other hand, is a one-time NBA Finals Most Valuable Player with Boston during the Celtics’ 2024 title run.
Last season, the Celtics lost to the New York Knicks in the Eastern Conference semifinals.
