Malonzo leaves Ginebra for Kyoto

MANILA, Philippines — Jamie Malonzo is leaving Barangay Ginebra after three seasons.

Upon finishing his stint with Gilas Pilipinas in the FIBA Asia Cup, the high-flying Fil-Am is bringing his talent to Kyoto Hannaryz in the Japan B. League.

“I’m genuinely excited about what lies ahead, and I can’t wait to hit the court with my teammates, bringing energy and determination to every game,” Malonzo said on the club’s website yesterday.

“I’m looking forward to building strong connections with all of you, both on and off the court, and helping to elevate the basketball culture in Kyoto.”
