Camcam, Libonfacil rule

MANILA, Philippines — Rising tennis stars Izabelle Camcam and Aizelle Libonfacil shared Most Valuable Player honors in the girls’ division, while Vincent Nadal spearheaded the boys’ charge in the just-concluded Dipolog City National Juniors Tennis Championships in Zamboanga del Norte last Monday.

Camcam, representing Muntinlupa, lived up to her top billing in the 16-and-under girls’ division, scoring a 6-1, 6-0 win over Gabrielle Bulado in the finale.

Libonfacil, just 12 years old, also delivered a remarkable campaign, crushing Rhiana Cuarto, 6-0, 6-2, to rule her age division.

Nadal ruled the boys’ 18-under event.
