Altalettes, Squires clash in crucial tiff
MANILA, Philippines — The Perpetual Help Junior Altas seek to seal the top seeding in the NCAA Season 100 Juniors Basketball Tournament when they tangle with back-to-back defending champion Letran Squires in a key match today.
The Altalettes (7-1) and the Squires (6-2) clash at 4 p.m. in a duel of teams leading the chase for the top two and the twice-to-beat incentives in the Final Four.
Hot in chase of the top two are Mapua, San Beda, EAC and La Salle with identical 5-3 cards.
While Mapua, San Beda, CSB and EAC are still rumbling for the last two spots in the semifinals, out of contention are Arellano U at 3-5, JRU and SSC-R at 2-6 and LPU at 0-8.
The Red Robins clash with the Staglets at 8 a.m. followed by the San Beda-JRU tiff at 10 a.m., CSB-EAC dispute at 12 noon then the AU-LPU duel at 2 p.m.
