MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Olympic Committee electoral commission vowed to resolve protests filed by opposing parties running for the POC polls set Nov. 29.
“We’re expected to have rulings on all these protests soon after we deliberate,” said election committee chairman Atty. Teodoro Alejandro Kalaw IV in yesterday’s clarificatory procedure at the Century Park Hotel.
Up for resolution are four petitions for disqualification from the camps of incumbent POC president Abraham “Bambol” Tolentino and challenger Joaquin “Chito” Loyzaga.
“I am confident we can get unanimous agreement on the four cases, but I can’t guarantee when we will be issuing, but definitely it will be before the Nov. 29 elections,” said Kalaw.
