Gagate going to Zus Coffee

MANILA, Philippines — A new breed of talents headed by La Salle’s Thea Gagate will realize their dream of playing with the country’s best and brightest as the Premier Volleyball League stages its inaugural rookie draft tonight at the Novotel in Cubao, Quezon City.

As certain as the sun is shining today, Gagate, a 6-2 middle blocker, is going to the Zus Coffee Thunderbelles as the No. 1 overall draft selection .

“Thea Gagate is the consensus No. 1. We’re more focused on pick No. 13,” said Zus coach Jerry Yee, referring to the first pick of the second round.

Capital1 Solar Energy is second in the draft order followed by Galeries Tower, Farm Fresh, Nxled, Akari, Cignal, PLDT, Chery Tiggo, Petro Gazz, Choco Mucho and Creamline.
