Bianca loses steam in Meijer Classic

MANILA, Philippines — Bianca Pagdanganan stumbled with a six-over 78 to blow her bid for a Top 10 finish in the LPGA Meijer Classic Sunday in Belmont, Michigan.

In 19th spot and just three off the Magic 10 after three rounds, Pagdanganan lost steam and fell to joint 62nd in the final standings as she produced only two birdies against a triple bogey and five bogeys in the last 18 holes at the Blythefield Country Club.

The Paris Olympics-bound Pinay, who earlier climbed into contention with a 66 on moving day, tallied two-over 286 – 10 short of the troika that shared eighth to 11th.

Pagdanganan settled for $6,999 (around P410,000) in the event won byAmerican Lilia Vu.
