MANILA, Philippines — Petro Gazz, PLDT and Chery Tiggo jostle for important positions in a super-tight semifinal race as they battle different foes today in the PVL All-Filipino Conference at the Filoil EcoOil Arena.

Tied at No. 3 with 7-2 records, the Angels face off with the Galeries Tower Highrisers at 2 p.m., the High Speed Hitters clash with sister team Cignal’s HD Spikers at 6 p.m. and the Crossovers tangle with the Akari Chargers at 4 p.m. with an eye staying in the hunt.

Creamline and Choco Mucho are on top with 8-2 slates.

Of the three, Petro Gazz appears to have the lesser foe in Galeries Tower (3-6) but Jonah Sabete, one of the club’s vital cogs, was quick to caution her team not to be overly complacent.

“Hindi namin minamaliit ang next game,” said Sabete.

Chery Tiggo, for its part, hopes to extend its streak to six after stringing together five triumphs in a row that it capped with an emphatic 25-22, 25-16, 25-20 victory over PLDT Tuesday at the PhilSports Arena.
