MANILA, Philippines — Perpetual Junior Altas gained their share of individual awards in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Season 99 Juniors Basketball awards ceremony Wednesday at the FilOil EcoOil Center in San Juan City.

Amiel Acido got 57.22 player average value (PAV) in nine games of the elims and bagged the season Most Valuable Player award.

With him in the Mythical Five were teammates Lebron James Daep with 48.88 PAV and Mark Gojo Cruz with 47.11, George Diamante Jr. of the Letran Squires with 48.55 and EJ Castillo of the EAC Brigadiers with 44.44.

Santa Maria, Bulacan native Gojo Cruz won the Rookie of the Year award.

Two of the Junior Altas made the All Defensive Team with Acido and Daep joined by Diamante and Paul Enal and Martin Pineda of the JRU Light Bombers.

It was the second time Acido, a native of Antipolo City, made it to the Mythical Selection and All-Defensive Team.
