(Edited, 11:10 a.m.) MANILA, Philippines -- Is a third Rebisco-backed team coming to the Premier Volleyball League (PVL)?

Managers of the Creamline Cool Smashers and the Choco Mucho Flying Titans on Thursday hinted of a possible third team.

It is unclear, however, which league would it be -- the PVL or the men’s league, Spikers’ Turf.

During the memorandum of agreement signing event with Creamline and Choco Mucho, Alan Acero, the team manager of the Cool Smashers, said that “there might be a third Rebisco team on the way.”

Acero told Allianz officials in attendance to possibly “set an additional budget for the future.”

Flying Titans manager Rollie Delfino, in the same event, said that Choco Mucho “soon… will no longer be the shobe.”

"Shobe" is a Chinese-Filipino term meaning a younger sister.

“There will be something coming up. So, let’s just wait for it,” Delfino said.

Creamline star Alyssa Valdez also supposedly hinted the third team.
Asked for clarifications, the two officials kept mum.

At the sidelines of the event, Acero said that an announcement will be made when the time is right.

Earlier, Rebisco has also joined the Spikers’ Turf. The new team will be led by Marck Espejo.

The PVL season will be starting on February 20.
