Lady Blazers enter V-L finals

MANILA, Philippines — Saint Benilde marched to the V-League Women’s Collegiate Challenge finals, dispatching University of the East in straight-set fashion for the second straight time, 25-21, 25-13, 25-10, in their semifinal duel at the Paco Arena in Manila yesterday.

Skipper Clo Mondoñedo put up a brilliant all-around performance for the Lady Blazers who now await the winner of the Perpetual Help-FEU semis pairing.

The Lady Tams got back at the Lady Altas, 23-25, 25-23, 25-17, 25-13, to force a sudden death for the other championship slot in the tournament organized by Sports Vision and sponsored by Bola.TV, Beyond Active Wear, Asics and Mikasa.

FEU fought back from a tough first-set loss.
