Raga tries to conquer Euro pool

MANILA, Philippines — Anthony Raga could now be just a name.

But if the Filipino cue artist tops the biggest tournament of his life in the European Pool Championship in Fuda, Germany, he would join the long list of Filipino legends that have conquered the world of pool.

In a spectacular show of shot making, the 26-year-old from Cebu City whitewashed former World 9-Ball and 10-Ball champion Ko Pin-yi of Chinese Taipei, 10-0, to barge into the Final-16 and remain the last Filipino standing.

The shock victory sent the University of Cebu-METC nautical student to an intriguing showdown with Canadian John Morra, who dispatched Serbian Aleksa Pecelj, 10-6.
