The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — After a series of qualifying events, the Pilipinas Obstacle Sports Federation has formed its young “Magnificent Seven,” including four aged 10-12 years and three aged 13-15 to be part of its Youth Obstacle Sports National Team.

The seven kids, considered as the future of Philippine obstacle racing, are Daniella Aro (10), Clana Fontaine (11), Gianna Quintela (11), Zara Chua (12), Gavin Ti (13), Trisha del Rosario (14) and Edris Dizon (15).

They will continue their training under the auspices of POSF national coaches and fellow athletes. They will prepare for short-course competitions such as Ninja and Obstacle Course Race (OCR) 100m and 3k formats here and abroad.

“We’re looking at the future here,” said POSF president Atty. Al Agra.

The POSF intends to send them to Florida, this July for the Ultimate Ninja Athlete Association World Championships and World Obstacle Ninja World Cup USA.

In September, they may also vie in the World Obstacle Championships in Belgium.
