SEA Games aquatics tryout draws big turnout

MANILA, Philippines — A total of 188 swimmers from 102 clubs across the country are converging at the New Clark City starting today for the Official National Swim Tryouts for the Cambodia 32nd Southeast Asian Games.

With 135 male and 53 female participants, the tryouts go down as the biggest and most inclusive in Philippine aquatics history, according to the members of the Stabilization Committee tasked to oversee aquatics in the country.

World Aquatics technical director Kazumi Eguchi of Japan will supervise the meet officials.
