Creamline ready for battle minus Alyssa

MANILA, Philippines — Creamline will have to jumpstart its title-retention bid in the Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference minus its heart and soul – Alyssa Valdez.

Cool Smashers coach Sherwin Meneses yesterday said they would miss Valdez for most part of the single-round elimination as their charismatic captain is still recuperating from a knee injury she sustained late in the previous Reinforced Conference.

Creamline opens its campaign against Reinforced Conference titlist Petro Gazz at 6 p.m. on Saturday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum with Choco Mucho and Akari clashing at 4 p.m.
