Kaya Iloilo rules Copa Alcantara

MANILA, Philippines — Kaya Iloilo FC turned back the Azkals Development Team, 1-0, to rule the Copa Paulino Alcantara Friday night at the PFF National Training Center in Carmona, Cavite.

Kenshiro Daniels delivered the winning strike in the 47th minute as the Iloilo booters completed their spotless run and claimed their second trophy overall in the Cup competition named after the legendary FC Barcelona striker.

Daniels, a former Azkals mainstay, broke a scoreless stalemate two minutes after restart as he cashed in on Simone Rota’s looping ball into the box then beat ADT defender Mar Diano for the ice-breaker.
