MANILA, Philippines — Fil-Am Jackie Buntan came through with an impressive performance to make up for the heartbreaking defeat by Denise Zamboanga in the historic all-female ONE: Empower at the Singapore Indoor Stadium Friday.

The 23-year-old Southern California native turned back Argentinian Daniela Lopez via unanimous decision to improve to 23-5 (win-loss) and emerge the top contender for the vacant Muay strawweight crown.

Lopez sputtered to 7-4.
