COTY race fires off at Pasay Cockpit today
PASAY, Philippines — The 2020 LGBA Cocker of the Year race starts today with the first leg of a 7-cock derby at the Pasay City Cockpit.
Cockfight idol Patrick Antonio, solo champion in last week’s National Cockers Alliance (NCA) event, leads the participants in today’s 3-cock elims supported by Sagupaan Superfeeds and Complexor 3000.
Luzon Gamecock Breeders Association (LGBA) members will see action on Feb. 21 for another qualifying round.The final round sizzles on Feb. 28.
Also competing are LGBA president Nick Crisostomo, Honey Yu, Jun Sevilla, Arman Santos, Gerry Escalona, Zaldy Austria, Hector Magpantay, Ronnel Pasia, Gerald Go, Dennis Lumpay, Jimmy Junsay, Noel Cosico, Rey Magbuhos, Willard Ty, Toto Gregore, Edward Madlambayan and Dax Ganzon.
A cash prize of P500,000 and a silver cup from Sagupaan Agricultural Products, Inc. await the COTY winner.
“The COTY series is exclusive to LGBA members. For other gamefowl breeders, please prepare for the Luzon Breeder Cup (early bird stagfest) which starts on July 6,” said Crisostomo.
