P.3 million at stake in PCC cockfest
MANILA, Philippines — A cash prize of at least P300,000 awaits winners in the Erica and Friends 4-Cock Derby slated Friday at the Pasay City Cockpit.
A crack field of participants includes several members of Team Sagupaan, who will also participate in the 10th World Gamefowl Expo.
Hosted by PCC operations manager Erica Clemente and backed by Sagupaan Superfeeds and Complexor 3000, the event is PCC’s second offering for the 2020 cockfighting season, with an entry fee of P11,000.
Entries must be submitted on Thursday until 7 p.m.
The showdown of Metro Manila’s upcoming derbyists comes next on Jan. 24 via the Ace and Elbie 4-Cock Derby.
Meanwhile, Nick Crisostomo, president of Luzon Gamecock Breeders Association (LGBA) announced yesterday the final schedule of the 2020 LGBA Cocker of the Year race at Pasay Cockpit.
First leg: Feb. 14, 21 and 28 (7-cock derby); second leg on March 9, 16 and 23 (7-bullstag derby) and third on April 3 (Encuentro 5-bullstag derby).
