MANILA, Philippines — The NU Pep Squad on Sunday ruled the UAAP Cheerdance Competition for the second straight year.

With a Pinoy Pride-inspired routine, NU clinched their sixth cheerdance championship in the last seven years.

Meanwhile, a Michael Jackson routine from the FEU Cheering Squad landed them a bridesmaid finish.

2017 champions Adamson settled for the bronze for the second year in a row, showcasing a Caribbean-themed performance.

Meanwhile, former powerhouses UST and UP were unable to get back on the podium.

The UST Salinggawi Dance Troupe gave an enchanting "Diwata" performance while the UP Pep Squad flaunted their "Matatapang, Matatalino, Walang Takot Kahit Kanino" vibes on the mats.

The UE Pep Squad also wowed the audience with a Filipino Reggae routine.

For their part, Ateneo's Blue Babble Battalion took the crowd on a tour around the world with their aviation-inspired routine.

DLSU Animo Squad, on the other hand, took inspiration from hit movie "The Greatest Showman". ?
