LGBA second leg finals today
MANILA, Philippines — Veteran World Slasher Cup campaigner Rick Tamboong leads the favorites as the Luzon Gamecock Breeders Association (LGBA) 7-Stag Derby finale (second leg) is held today at the Pasay City Cockpit.
Former WSC champs Honey Yu (Princess Bernice) and Anthony Lim (Lucban), Jun Sevilla (JRS San Pioquinto 2) and Jess and Joven Mateo (Jubilum 3K) are tied with Tamboong with three wins each going to the 4-stag finals backed by Sagupaan Superfeeds and Complexor 3000.
Interestingly, Tamboong also leads the tough LGBA Breeder of Year stag circuit with a total of 9.5 points so far.
LGBA president Nick Crisostomo said the top 10 standings in the Breeder of Year race may shape up after today’s battle.
The third and final leg, an 8-stag derby, unfolds on Oct. 25 and 28. Pasay Cockpit also gears for the Encuentro 6-Stag Derby Part 3 on Nov. 7 (144 fights) and Miggy Big Event 6-Stag Derby” of Michael Tiqui on Nov. 8 (100 plus fights).
