MANILA, Philippines — The F2 Logistics Cargo Movers on Thursday absorbed their first defeat, falling to rivals Petron Blaze Spikers and snapping an 11-game winning streak in the Philippine Superliga All-Filipino Conference.

But F2 mentor Ramil de Jesus is far from being worried with their record tainted.

If anything, it seems like de Jesus and the Cargo Movers are taking it positively.

"Sabi ko [sa team] okay lang yan, talagang dapat daanan yan. Hindi yung puro panalo," de Jesus said after the game.

"Mahirap din yung puro panalo parang tingin mo wala ka dapat icorrect sa training," he added.

The Cargo Movers took a 2-0 set advantage over the Blaze Spikers and looked poised to take a series sweep against their rivals.

But they weren't able to weather an offensive outburst from Petron's Sisi Rondina that left them stunned.

In the fifth set, the Blaze Spikers went on a scorching 10-0 start against the Cargo Movers.

De Jesus, however, appreciates the timing of their first defeat. Saying it's better to come now than later on.

"Mas maganda na ngayon [matalo] kesa sa susunod pa. Baka mamaya abutin tayo sa quarterfinals natin ma-experience to, ang bigat lalo satin," he said.

The F2 Cargo Movers now tote an 11-1 record and will look to bounce back in Cagayan de Oro when they face the PLDT Home FIBR Hitters on Saturday.
