MANILA, Philippines — After a four-year absence, Cebuano guard Eloy Poligrates made a roaring return to cage action the other day for Marinerong Pilipino in the PBA D-League Foundation Cup.
But it’s not the end-goal for the 31-year-old who looks forward to a PBA comeback.
“This is probably my last chance so I will work doubly harder. I will make the most of out this opportunity to come back in the PBA,” said Poligrates who sizzled with 19 points, four rebounds, six assists and four steals in the Skippers’ 118-71 win over league neophyte Hazchem.
The former Southwestern University standout was the 27th overall pick by Talk ‘N Text back in the 2013 Draft. He also suited up for Air 21, NLEX and Kia.
Poligrates has been out of the limelight since 2015 when he last played in the D-League with then champion Cafe France Bakers.
