San Beda paces Small Basketeers Philippines
MANILA, Philippines — San Beda University edged College of San Benildo-Rizal, 53-52, to notch its second straight victory in the Small Basketeers Philippines competition of the BEST Center’s twin SBP-Passerelle tournaments at Xavier gym last Sunday.
Claret School dealt La Salle-Zobel White its second straight defeat with a 72-19 rout in another Group A match.
La Salle-Greenhills also thumped San Sebastian College-Recoletos, 57-35, for an early share of the lead with La Salle-Zobel Green in Group B of the event sponsored by Milo and supported by Rain or Shine, Chris Sports and SKLZ.
Nazareth School of National U demolished Casimiro A. Ynarez Memorial National High School, 110-22, for its second straight win in Passerelle division with San Beda matching that big start with a 52-43 triumph over La Salle-Greenhills, which dropped to 1-1.
La Salle-Zobel (1-1) downed SSC-R (0-2), 50-39, in the last match.
