MANILA, Philippines — It’s the biggest possible import match-up in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup, and it’s about to explode in the best-of-seven finals.

TNT KaTropa’s Terrence Jones and San Miguel Beer’s Chris McCullough, two legit NBA players who have brought their act to Asia’s first play-for-pay league, take centerstage as they aim to lead their respective sides to Promised Land.

The two boast of bona fide NBA credentials.

Jones was picked 18th overall by Houston in 2012 and spent four years with the Rockets, suiting up later for Milwaukee and New Orleans, and reuniting with the Rockets early this year while McCullough was drafted by Brooklyn 29th overall in 2015 and saw action for the Nets and later the Washington Wizards.

As expected they whipped up a storm in the PBA with Jones posting five triple double performances to date and leading TNT to its first finals appearance since 2017 and McCullough saving an SMB team on the brink of elimination with his explosive performances as replacement for original import Charles Rhodes.

And so stellar has been Jones’ showing here that it has reportedly put him in line for an NBA return, through the Rockets.

“You know I’m not really focused on that. As a player playing in the championship, I can only focus on the task at hand and that’s winning the championship here,” said Jones.

When asked about his titanic matchup with Jones, McCullough gave a three-worded reply, “Let’s play basketball.”
