MANILA, Philippines — The annual LPC Anniversary 5-Stag Derby, now on its 30th year, sizzles on Sept. 10, 12 and 15 at Las Piñas Coliseum with a revised format for medium-scale cockers.
As requested by participants, the yearly stagfest hosted by Mayor Nene Aguilar will have an easy and simplified format.
Elimination rounds (2-stag) are set Sept. 10 and 12 with the finalists fighting it out for the crown on Sept. 15.
Only locally banded stags of associations belonging to the International Federation of Gamefowl Breeders (FIGBA-Bakbakan) and Pambansang Federation Ng Gamefowl Breeders, Inc. (PFGB Inc.-Digmaan) will be accepted (weight limits of 1.7 kgs. to 2.150 kgs.).
The champion’s purse is P500,000 with the handler getting P50,000 and gaffer P20,000.
