150 fights lined up in Pasay derby today
MANILA, Philippines — The Be My Guest 5-Cock Derby, sixth in a series of ‘Big Event’ cockfests at Pasay City Cockpit, unfolds today with more than 150 fights supported by Sagupaan Superfeeds and Complexor 3000.
In competition are bigtime cockers and gamefowl breeders led by Patrick Antonio, fresh from topping the 11th National Cockers Alliance (NCA) 6-Cock Derby last Tuesday at the Ynares Arena.
The event, hosted by PCC pit manager Gerald Go, starts early today.
Up next is the Building Bridges 6-Bullstag Derby on Apr. 1 and 5, now with 15 teams including newcomers Mad Science and Black Rooster.
The other teams: LGBA, Kapampangan Gamefowl Breeders Association, La Union Breeders and Cockers Club, Rizal Gamefowl Breeders Association, Quezon Breeders Club, United Manila Cavite GBA, Tarlac group of Rep. Vic Yap, Sagupaan, Excellence, Experto, King Slasher, Thor and Bulacan Breeders Club.
Meanwhile, John/Kenneth Liao, Larry Villacorte, Reps. Lawrence Wacnang and JB Bernos topped the Luzon Gamecock Breeders association (LGBA) 7-Bullstag Derby last Monday at PCC.
