LGBA 7-bullstag derby set Monday
MANILA, Philippines — A 7-bullstag derby will be featured in the second leg of the 2019 Luzon Gamecock Breeders Association (LGBA) Cocker of the Year series on Monday at Pasay City Cockpit.
The first leg last month drew 91 entries won by double champions Joven and Jess Mateo (Jubilum and Ninety One), who scored 12 victories out of 14 fights.
Hermie Pagtalunan (Franzopia), Jed Antonio (Jedi Master), Allan Chan (WWW) and Alex/Aristotle Aguirre (Lightning Blade Alexa) tallied six wins each to emerge as co-champions.
LGBA president Nick Crisostomo said the second leg (March 11, 18 and 25) is more exciting since participants will field winners from last year’s LGBA Breeder of the Year series, ‘Bakbakan’ 12 -Stag Derby and ‘Digmaan’ 11-Stag Derby.
Suported by Sagupaan Superfeeds and Complexor 3000, the 2019 LGBA ‘Cocker’ race culminates with the third leg on April 12 (Encuentro 5-Bullstag Derby).
Meanwhile, over 100 matches unfold at Pasay Cockpit on Friday via the PL2 Malainin 5-Cock Derby, following the Tiger and NML Big Event which had 132 fights.
