Top cockers clash in Pasay derby
MANILA, Philippines — Well–known cockers and derbyists of Metro Manila clash in Pasay City Cockpit’s Erica and Friends 4-Cock Derby today.
Cockfight idol Patrick Antonio, grand finalist in the ongoing NCA 9-Cock Derby, leads the cast, which includes Charlie “Atong” Ang, Arnold dela Cruz, Cris de Jesus, Tony Lasala, Celso Salazar, Sonny Panaligan, Jervy Maglunob, Noel Cosico, Mauro Prieto, Rolan Galvez and LAGBA group.
The guaranteed prize is expected to reach P300,000.
PCC operations manager Erica Clemente will host the event with Sagupaan Superfeeds and Complexor 3000 as sponsors.
Up next at PCC: Friendly 3-Cock Derby on Jan. 25 (Marie Rama, Elbie and Friends) and the annual Bulldog Big Event 6-Cock Derby on Feb. 8, with Mayor Francis Espiritu and Danny Buldog as hosts.
The 2019 LGBA Cocker of the Year series starts with a seven-cock derby on Feb. 15 and 18 (3-cock elims) and Feb. 22 (4-cock finals).
