Diliman Blue Dragons reach Final 4 in UCBL

MANILA, Philippines — Diliman College fired 16 triples in a 101-61 dismantling of Technological Institute of the Philippines to clinch the first Final Four berth in the Universities and Colleges Basketball League yesterday at the Olivarez College.

Johnnel Rey Bauzon went 4-of-6 from beyond the arc to finish with 17 points for the Blue Dragons.

“Nasunod yung gameplan especially on defense and we converted our three-point shots kaya kami nakabuwelo,” said coach Rensy Bajar after Diliman took its eighth win in nine contests.

Earlier, Olivarez bolstered its semifinal hopes with a quick 114-47 win over St. Joseph College-Bulacan.
