Jireh stagfest slated Monday
MANILA, Philippines — Pasay City Cockpit gears up for another blockbuster stagfest with the staging of the Jireh Sa Pasay 5-Stag Derby on Monday with P1 million cash prize at stake.
The event comes on the heels of last Monday’s AEJ and Pasia Brothers 5-Stag Derby that lured 80 entries and won by Bryan Montalbo (Byan Swing Jan. 6 Darasa) and Jay R Halawig Jr. (Hummer Lemery Jan. 11).
Well-known sportsmen in Metro Manila and nearby provinces will compete, according to hosts Boyet Cruz, Frankie Lacas and Jeff “Hapon” Okada.
Cruz and company joined several big time derbies recently, including the LBC Cup, NCA derby and World Pitmasters Cup 9-Stag International Derby.
Only ‘Bakbakaan’ and ‘Digmaan’ banded stags will be accepted in this event backed by Sagupaan Superfeeds and Complexor 3000.
