Big field in Pasay stagfest Monday

MANILA, Philippines — The AEJ and Pasia Brothers 5-Stag Derby starts early on Monday at the Pasay City Cockpit with 60 entries competing.

Veteran gamefowl handler Arnold dela Cruz and Pasia Brothers of Batangas will host the stagfest, which requires “Bakbakan” and “Digmaan” banded stags only.

Monday’s event, supported by Sagupaan Superfeeds and Complexor 3000, features 150 fights.

No cockfight derby is scheduled at Pasay Cockpit on Nov. 2 in observance of All Souls Day.

Competition resumes on Nov. 5 via the Jireh Sa Pasay 5-Stag Derby with Boyet Cruz, Frankie Lacas and Jeff “Hapon” Okada as hosts.
